A bowls team has voted to change a 30-year-old rule at its annual general meeting.
Sidmouth Bowls Club has decided to change the colour of its skirts, shorts, trousers, and cutoffs to navy blue.
The rule has been grey bottoms for the last 30 years, while white bottoms have been worn for outdoors and special occasions.
The club unanimously decided at its annual general meeting (AGM) last week to change this to navy blue bottoms, which will "go well with the navy and white shirts".
At the AGM, Carol Smith was voted in as the new president of the club.
Carol stated that she is delighted to take on the position.
On the green, Sidmouth men faced Torquay's B team in the InterClub League.
The home rinks showcased a stellar performance, securing a plus 32 shots.
However, both away rinks were defeated.
The home rink line-ups were Les Crump, Allan Davis, Clive Brook, and skip Ken Wheeler, with a score of 35-7.
The other home rink consisted of John Richards, Kevin Frickey, John Chew, and skip Paul Irvine, scoring 23-19.
Sidmouth also hosted Budleigh for a mixed-friendly game.
The final score was Sidmouth 41, Budleigh 19.
Players Debbie Caine, Sue Clint, and skip Brian Smith scored 25-8, while Ron Clint, Cedron Caine, and skip Jane Painter scored 16-11.
Another mixed friendly encounter saw Sidmouth face Isca BC from Exeter.
Sidmouth emerged victorious in all three rinks, with a total score of Sidmouth 60, Isca 32.
The rink of Elaine Reed, Ian Dudley, and skip Sue Turner achieved a remarkable win of 34-7.
Lastly, last year's indoor Ladies' Champion Karen Hollingdale was defeated by Honiton's Champion Yvonne Williams with a score of 12-21 in the Champion of Champions knockout.
