Sidmouth Bowls Club enjoyed a friendly match against Newton Abbot, winning all three rinks.
The match was lively, with plenty of laughter and banter shared between the two teams.
Many players from Newton Abbot returned after enjoying their previous visit last season.
The Sidmouth team put in a strong performance, achieving an overall score of 57 to 37.
The top rink featured Lynn Flavell, "man of the match" Derek Mountford, Peter Mison, and skip Carol Smith, who won decisively with a score of 19 to 11.
Another impressive comeback came from the rink of Ron Peppin, Jill Mison, Christopher Ward, and skip Jill Bishop.
They were trailing 10 to 11 on the 14th end but managed to secure 10 shots on three of the last four ends, finishing with a score of 20 to 15.
The third rink, consisting of Christine Ward, Alan Clarke, Marie Timms, and skip Keith Pollitt, also performed admirably, scoring five shots on their end to win 18 to 11.
Following this friendly, the Sidmouth men faced South Hams in the County Trophy Over 60's League, having previously won against them in the InterClub competition.
This time, however, the results were less favourable.
The Sidmouth team only won one of the four rinks.
The victorious rink included John Richards, Phil Meadows, John Mason, and skip David Timms, who achieved a commendable score of 25 to 16.
Unfortunately, the aggregate score left Sidmouth trailing at 65 to 91.
The team then travelled to Westward Ho! for the Denny Plate against Kingsley.
The results were mixed, with Captain Paul's rink winning impressively with a score of 22 to 12.
The second away rink, skipped by Clive Brook, lost narrowly at 23 to 24.
However, the home rinks struggled, with one losing 20 to 22 and the other suffering a more significant defeat at 8 to 24.
The aggregate score ended with Sidmouth at 73 and Kingsley at 82, resulting in Sidmouth's exit from the competition.
