The Sidmouth Running Club juniors joined a spooky Halloween-themed run.
The youngsters participated in the Purple Geckos' Haldon Halloween Twilight Run on Friday evening, marking the beginning of half term.
Reuben Johnson, grandson of the well-known marathon runner Marion Johnson, took part in the 2.5k fun run.
He was first to finish in a field of 47, clocking in at 16 minutes and 22 seconds.
Seven SRC juniors entered the 5k Running Dead event, finishing in second, third, fourth, and fifth place for the boys, and fifth and ninth place for the girls.
Clay Vickery, another SRC junior, finished ninth overall in a mixed-age group of 126 runners, with a time of 31 minutes and 11 seconds.
His twin brother, Isaac, was just seconds behind at 31 minutes and 32 seconds.
Other notable times included Rex Wheaton at 34 minutes and 22 seconds, Jude Carson at 34 minutes and 29 seconds, Samuel Crompton at 38 minutes and 44 seconds, Emily Smith at 39 minutes and 53 seconds, and Amelia Womersley-Westlake at 46 minutes and 22 seconds.
Adults Clare Luke and Donna Womersley-Westlake also participated, finishing at 39 minutes and 59 seconds and 41 minutes and 32 seconds respectively.
Emily Hardingham represented the club in the 10k race, finishing in 1 hour, 10 minutes, and 29 seconds, placing 34th out of 84 runners.
Further afield, Becky Knapman participated in the Eden Half Marathon.
Despite the challenging route, she completed it in 2 hours, 42 minutes, and 31 seconds.
Twenty-two Mighty Greens enjoyed park runs in sunny conditions at various locations, including Cranbrook, Exmouth, Seaton, Ashington, Frogmary Green Farm, Melton Mowbray, and the new park run venue at Simmonds Park, Okehampton.
Club secretary Cheryl Boulton knocked two minutes off her personal best, finishing the Exmouth parkrun in 26 minutes and 42 seconds.
Roger Worthington and Ann Cole also achieved new personal bests, at 22 minutes and 46 seconds, and 32 minutes and 27 seconds, respectively.
Sunday runs have resumed, providing runners with the opportunity to prepare for upcoming high-mileage events.
