In an extreme twist of fate, Ivybridge snatched victory from Sidmouth Chiefs with a touchline penalty in injury time resulting in a 34-32 victory.
The Chiefs could have, perhaps even should have, claimed the day.
The game was filled with impressive scrummaging and attractive rugby from both teams, though persistent lineout issues plagued the Chiefs throughout.
Ivybridge applied early pressure; however, the Chiefs tackled well and broke free, opening the scoring with a remarkable try.
A well-executed handling move gained ground on the right field.
Here, Sam Heathcote impressively chased up a kick, gathered the ball, and dispensed with two defenders, touching down under the posts.

Sidmouth quickly advanced their lead.

The Chiefs' lead melted away within the next 10 minutes when a series of conceded penalties allowed Ivybridge to control territory, yielding three unanswered tries.
Ultimately, the Chiefs revived their game, reducing the point differential with a bonus point try credited to Tom Hodge after good play.
