He beat David Pepperell 5&4 in an engaging match, watched by a multitude of supporters.

The Rocky Pairs Cup saw Ben Hodgson and Graham Davies outplay the father and son team, Chris and Charlie Roberts 2&1.

Monday saw Seniors compete fiercely in their Autumn Cup team competition.

John White, Roger Bawden and Colin Mitchell emerged victorious with an impressive 90 points against David Cowler, Dave Atkinson and Vernon Ruffle, who scored 88.

Glyn Hewitt's Nearest the Pin achievement won him a coveted bottle of whisky.

In the Upper Crust Stableford, Mike Dibble scored 39, beating Archie Griffiths and Saju Patidar who had 38 each.

In a season finale to the 6 summer medals, Dan Colson snagged the Eclectic Cup with a gross 61, edging out Valdis Baranovs who scored 62.

In the Cock of the Green competition, Valdis emerged victorious with a net score of 254, followed by Stuart Ruffle at 262.

The Gross competition saw Martyn White take the lead at 287 with Valdis taking second position at 298.
