An exciting match unfolded between Tipton and Whimple, swinging wildly with twists and turns as scores soared and wickets tumbled.

Tipton, who batted first, had a promising start, reaching 83-2 in the 17th over, however, a sudden loss of four wickets for just 6 runs left them on the back foot.

A strong partnership between seasoned players John Buckland and Mark Burnard was cut short, with Burnard caught for 15 and Buckland bowled on 38.

However, the game took an unexpected turn when Amelia Tolley and Sam Stone responded with a 75-run partnership, taking Tipton out of trouble.

Stone defended well, while Tolley, on her best score of 40, survived a few dropped catches before finally being bowled by Ben Bardot.

A last-wicket partnership of 21 took Tipton's score to an enviable 190 runs.

Whimple, undeterred, began strong, reaching 85-3 thanks to contributions from Charlie Gordon-Lennox, Mike Greenhough and Harry Gordon-Lennox.

But the game took a dramatic turn after the drinks break.

Mark Channon and Phil Wright took six wickets for just 6 runs, dispatching Whimple who could only manage a total of 106.

Tipton's victory was also secured thanks to some excellent catching skills, with Buckland making three catches.

With this win, Tipton showed determination and resilience as they weathered a challenging match with several highs and lows.
