Sidmouth Running Club has gone global, with members completing international races.

It’s that time of year when the Mighty Green running shirts get packed in suitcases and taken on a road trip.

Runner, Mark Norton, took part in the Rise and Stride 10km in Long Beach, California.

Despite forgetting his club shirt, Norton ensured Sidmouth was represented on his bib.

The run was a success, with Norton finishing first in 49 minutes and 5 seconds.

Meanwhile, Tim Swarbrick wore his Mighty Green shirt in Lanzarote during the 12k Wine Run and walk.

Standing out among 2,000 participants, Swarbrick ran through the area's breathtaking wine growing region.

The terrain proved difficult, covered by black volcanic gravel, thus posing a risk of injury.

Despite these challenges and the oppressive 26-degree heat, Swarbrick completed the run in one hour and 13 minutes.

Swarbrick's wife, Lois, walked the same route with friends, finishing in two hours and 35 minutes.

The participants celebrated their achievements at a village festival post-race.

Lois and friends relished the live music, local food and wine, while Swarbrick didn't drink, as he is a beer drinker.

The club's international exploits firmly place Sidmouth Running Club on the global map.
