With the course starting to get back to normal, it was a busy weekend of golf at Sidmouth.
On Friday, in the Sidmouth Jewellers sponsored Stableford, David Bater took the honours, winning with 38 points from Dusty Holland, 37 and Nick Gingell on 34.
With a much welcomed sun beaming down on the golf course on Sunday, Sidmouth Golf Club hosted Dainton Park in the Dartmoor League
Under the captaincy of Jim Anderton, the Sidmouth team won 4-1 against a very competitive Dainton Park.
Anderton said: "I am really proud of the performance of the team and especially our debutants Charlie Roberts, Freddie Roberts and Jashan Patidar.
"It's early in the season, but I'm hopeful that we can challenge for promotion with a new fresh young squad".
The first qualifier of the season was the Upper Crust Monday Stableford, and the winners in Division 1 were Brian Davies with 37, as well as Harrison Jones and Simon Emerson sharing the minor places on 34 apiece.
In Division 2, Bernie Millward took top spot with 34, from James Scrimshaw 33 and Paul Renken 31.
