The first event of the golfing year at Sidmouth GC was organised by our new Lady Captain Heather Cowan and a fun Easter Special Competition was enjoyed by all with some excellent scores even though the going was soggy underfoot, writes Lynette Lloyd.
The winning team on countback, with 88 points, were Maria Clapp, Heather Cowan and Vanessa Ireson. The runners up were Mo Borer, Gerri Whitrow and Susan Hackett.
The best individual score of 37pts was achieved by Mo Borer. The best front nine went to Chris Cave & the back nine to Ali Godwin. The three hardest holes were 3, 9 and 13 and Maria, Vanessa and Mo won these prizes. The easiest holes, 4, 10 and 11 were won by Vanessa and Vici Topping. There were also prizes for seven ladies who achieved four points on a hole.
Heather also supplied the prizes of Easter Eggs and Bunnies - thank you Heather for a great day!
