Exeter City manager Gary Caldwell admitted his side were lucky to escape with a point after a lacklustre second-half showing at home to Fleetwood Town.
The Grecians were excellent in the first period, deservedly leading with a Vince Harper goal, as second-from-bottom Fleetwood struggled to find any rhythm.
After the break, however, it was a different story.
The Cod Army made a raft of changes, drew level through Promise Omochere and, on chances created, possibly should have returned home with maximum points.
Caldwell told the club website: "In the first half, we played all through the pitch extremely well, and we have to kill the game off at that point.
"The game should be over at half-time, but you have to expect to react to their four changes and change of shape. You have to expect a reaction and you have to stand up to that, if anything, we're lucky to be coming away with a point.
"It's a wake-up call."
City cruised through the early stages, Mo Eisa curling a lovely effort inches over the bar before a sweeping move led to the opening goal. Exeter moved the ball down the left flank and Reece Cole picked out Harper with a precise cutback, leaving the former Eastleigh forward with a simple tap-in.
The Grecians threatened to overwhelm their lowly visitors, seemingly creating chances at will, but the absence of ruthlessness in front of goal would bite them after the break.
Fleetwood boss Charlie Adam took the bold step of making four substitutions at half-time, and it worked. Carl Johnston forced a decent save from Vili Sinisalo and Fleetwood had a goal disallowed from a corner.
The Cod Army were all over City and got their reward on 74 minutes, when Boson Lawal slipped a lovely pass for Omochere to convert.
Every point is precious at this stage of the season and City will feel relatively comfortable in 14th place in Sky Bet League One, seven points clear of the bottom four. This weekend is a tough trip to promotion-chasing Peterborough United, followed by a visit from third-placed Bolton Wanderers.
