Sidmouth and Ottery Hockey Club returned to the pitch after the festive season with a varying level of success.
On the men’s side of the club, the first team travelled to Somerset to play Bridgwater 1 but it was the home side that claimed the points with a 3-2 victory. The seconds also had a trip to Somerset but in their case it was to Taunton Civil Service. The match ended with honours even, with a result of 2-2.
On the women’s side of the club, the second team entertained Dawlish in a home fixture, coming away with a victory, 2-1. The women’s fourth team travelled to Tiverton White Eagles 2 and recorded a draw, 0-0.
The only other game to be played was a friendly between the women’s first team and the men’s third team, which resulted in a good victory for the women, 7-1.
