The weather didn’t dampen the spirits for the Ladies Christmas Cracker competition at Sidmouth Golf.
The ladies played off 85% of their individual handicaps in teams of three with two scores to count.
Coming first with 60 points were Diane Boyden, Vanessa Ireson and Catherine Walden. Second place, on countback, with 53 points were Maria Clapp, Angela Coles and Heather Cowan, narrowly beating the ‘Santa girls’ Yvonne Anning, Mo Kendall and Gerri Whitrow.
Coffee and mince pies were enjoyed in the clubhouse after the fun competition with the traditional Secret Santa.
Thanks to the Lady Captain Susan Hackett for providing the prizes and to Maria Clapp, who works hard behind the scenes organising the secret Santa and much more!
It was a great way to finish the golfing year and the days are slowly getting longer, which means more time out on the course.
