Sidmouth Golf Club Ladies were very lucky to have a lovely crisp and sunny winters day for their Stableford competition, writes Vanessa Ireson. The winner, on countback, was Liz Chance with 32 points, followed by Suzanne Lienert and Mo Borer, who were just a point behind.

The scoring was again very close when the Seniors joined the Ladies for a fun Texas Scramble mixed competition. In first position were Marian Andrews, Maria Clapp, Adrian White and Ken Price with a nett 51 points. Yvonne Anning, Penny Anderson, Steve Nunn and John Fox came second with 52 points and third were Geri Whitrow, Jane Renken ,Graham Lanceley and Hugh Dorliac.

A very enjoyable day completed by a delicious meal being served on our return to the clubhouse by David from Coast to Coast catering. Prizes were presented by Seniors Captain Brian Rice and Lady Captain Susan Hackett. A competition format which will hopefully follow in years to come.
