Sidmouth and Ottery Hockey Club recorded a good weekend of results, with only a limited number of games played, writes Andrew Coley.
In a home game against Chard 1, the women’s seconds claimed all the points with a 1-0 win, while all the other women’s teams were without a game.
On the men’s side of the club, all four sides had matches and three wins were recorded.
The first team won 4-1 at home against Minehead and West Somerset 1.
The seconds also played at home and took on Shepton Mallet 3. In a tight game, they claimed the points with a 1-0 win. The third team travelled to Exeter 4 and claimed victory with a 0-3 win.
The fourth team development side played away against Ashmoor 4 development side. Officially it ended 0-0, as such fixtures do, but it was the home side that claimed the spoils, winning 1-0 in a competitive encounter.
