There was a new name on the prestigious Challenge Cup when Charlie Roberts went up to receive his trophy from club captain John Spiller-Jones, having triumphed in the Premier Club knockout competition. Dinner and music followed and everyone had a great time. Congratulations to all this year's winners.
The club Pro's Day had been well attended, so much so the last couple of groups finished in the dark! Prizes were awarded in the evening to the winning pair of Mike Temple and Ian Philips who each received a golf bag.
The Friday Sidmouth Golf Club Stableford was won by Steve Nunn with 40 points from Neil Hodge on 39 and club manager Brian Davies on 36.
This was swiftly followed by second round of the Streatham Trophy, which Saj and Jash Patidar won with a solid 44 from Dave Richards and Hugh Dorliac on 43, beating Chris Long and Andy Truscott on countback.
