It was a difficult weekend for Sidmouth and Ottery Hockey Club with only one of the sides coming away with a win.
It was the women’s first team who led the way with an emphatic victory, beating Weymouth 1, 6-0 at home.
But the other three women’s teams were all defeated. The second team lost 8-0 in their away fixture against Isca and University of Exeter.
Both the thirds and fourths took on teams from the Taw Valley Hockey Club. The third team lost 5-1 away and the fourths lost 2-3 at home.
On the men’s side of the club, the fourth team did not have a fixture but for the sides that played, tight results were recorded throughout.
The first team drew, 2-2, when they travelled to University of Exeter 7.
The seconds had the same result when they played Bridgwater 2 at home.
And the third team, which was playing at home against Ashmoor 4 development side, lost by the odd goal in five, with a result of 2-3.
