The game of the weekend in East Devon, probably the whole of the South West, featured 12 goals and an extraordinary first-half of drama, writes Spurs Tom.
In Division 3 of the Devon & Exeter League, Budleigh Salterton 2nds eventually emerged as 7-5 victors over Sidmouth Town 3rds, with the half-time score an incredible 5-4 to the hosts.
John Buckland started the Budleigh fun on five minutes, Joe Walker made it 2-0 before Mark Hadley reduced the arrears. Connor Howe scored for Budleigh, Frank Long replied for Sidmouth.
The visiting Vikings grabbed two more before the half-hour, both through Freddie Roberts, but back came Budleigh to lead at the break. Walker got his second and Jack Manning made it 5-4 with a screamer.
And breathe, not likely! Paul Barnes made it 6-4, Will Pulman pulled one back but Barnes had the final say for a 7-5 Budleigh win, and brilliant fun.
