While it was a weekend off for Sidmouth Chiefs, there has still been plenty of activity for the Blackmore club, including a terrific informative CPR training session hosted by Mike Shillingford and Emma Bagwell.
On the pitch, the Sidmouth Vets team travelled to Crewkerne and produced some scintillating rugby, despite the brutal weather conditions, to secure a 48 – 3 victory on the road, with Pete Singfield named Player of the Match.
The Colts were equally clinical in their 36 – 5 defeat of Oakmedians, Alexander Clemo-Crosby picking up the prize for Player of the Match.
A week earlier, Sidmouth U14s booked a meeting with Brixham in the second round of the Devon Cup after a tense 17-5 win over Tiverton. Kallum Rattenbury scored the first half try, converted by Sean Cload, but Sidmouth then trailed 17 – 7. Will Creek pulled it back with a try, Seb Nation levelled the match and Cload scored the winning conversion.
