Sidmouth golfers have played for the Gertie Skinner Cup and the trophy was won by Liz Chance with an excellent score of nett 66. Susan Hackett, Lady Captain, was runner up with 69. These ladies were also first and second positions in the medal competition, with Suzanne Lienert third and Angela Coles won the putting.
Sheila Faulkner picked up the Past Captains’ Trophy with 32 points, one ahead of Maria Clapp, while the winner of the Saturday Stableford was Louise Talbot with 33 points, closely followed by Sharon O’Brien.
Yvonne Anning returned to the clubhouse in first place with a great 37 points in the first round of the Rosebowl and Basket. Angela Coles came second on countback from Maria Clapp with 35 points.
The Lady Captain’s Away Day was played at Taunton and Pickeridge golf club and a brilliant success, thanks to the organisation of skipper Susan Hackett.
