The Sidmouth RFC first XV enjoyed a weekend off but there was still plenty of rugby action across the club.
On the women’s side of the club, Abi Alner was named player of the match in a 42-21 victory for Sidmouth U18 Girls at home to Newton Abbot, the Senior Women won a tight game 10-5 at Truro Ladies and the Men’s Vets beat Exeter UOTC 55-32.
The juniors enjoyed just as much joy, with the U13s recovering from a tricky start against Honiton to triumph 10-5. A terrific hat-trick from Ally Gibson shifted momentum in the match and there were further tries from Freddie Trim and George Bower, making it two wins from two for the youngsters.
Sidmouth firsts will look to continue their fine form with a trip to Wadebridge Camels on Saturday. Another tough test but the Chiefs are riding the crest of a rugby wave.
