The Met Office were recent visitors at Tipton St John and they brought with them a nice sunny afternoon.
Owen Smith first had Jamie Mitchell caught low down by Mark Burnard at slip, then Adam Curtis was caught behind by Dave Thayre. Nathan Creaser held the visitors’ innings together with a fine 61, but he witnessed the demise of seven of his team during his innings.
Smith completed eight overs, taking 2-4 and John Buckland continued his good season taking 3-28. Guest player Nalin Chouhan took 2-31, as Met Office closed on 140.
Niall Moorjani and Reece Whittington put on 49 for Tipton before a run out, as the hosts hobbled to 66-3. However, a good partnership between John Buckland and Nalin Chouhan eased Tipton to victory, adding a further 75 to give Tipton a win by 7 wickets with 11 overs to spare. Buckland reached 35, whilst Chouhan scored 41.
