It was another sweltering day for both the ladies' competitions at Sidmouth Golf Club last week.
Wednesday saw a great result from Yvonne Anning with a nett 63, narrowly beating Maria Clapp with 64. Louise Talbot came third with a very respectable nett 68. There were two ‘2s’ on the day - Maria Clapp on the 5th and Mo Borer on 11th. Maria also won the putting competition on the day.
Saturday was a Stableford format and coming first on countback was Alison Godwin with 37 points, second place went to Louise Talbot with Mo Borer coming in third place with 31 points.
On the men’s side, Dudley Taylor won the Sidmouth Jewellers Friday Stableford with 37 points and Division 1 of the Monthly Medal, kindly sponsored by Harrison Lavers & Potburys, was won in emphatic style by Lewis W with a score of 60 (nett 61) in a round that included eight birdies.
