Ottery St Mary U18s are enjoying a stellar end to the football season and they were again too strong for Tedburn St Mary, powering to a deserved 3-0 victory.
The Otters got off the mark inside four minutes, when Jake Haggerty threaded a pass for Louis Stephen to calmly slot past the Tedburn ‘keeper. Zac Tilley and Luke Paramore both went close to a second before strong defending from Reece Alexander and Haydon Simpson protected the lead until half-time.
Once again, Ottery were quickly out of the blocks in the second half and doubled their lead when Jack Drew-Cull forced a top save but the rebound was perfect for a lurking Makan Coulibaly to slam the ball into the net.
Victory was sealed with an inviting cross from Haggerty picking out Paramore for an assured finish. Tilley was named man of the match for the satisfied Otters.
