Ottery St Mary U18s achieved one of their finest results of the season in toppling league leaders Bideford with a 2-0 victory.
Jack Drew-Cull forced an early save from the Bideford stopper before Russ Bracey showed his goalkeeping talents at the other end. Drew-Cull was denied again on 25 minutes but, this time, the rebound fell to Luke Paramore, who slammed home the opening goal.
Lovely play from Jake Haggerty and Joel Jackson created room for Ethan Hawes to go close to a second before half-time. Haggerty then headed narrowly wide after a cross from the impressive man of the match Finn Garman.
The game entered its closing stages with Bideford still a major threat but the young Otters stood firm and sealed a deserved victory when Oliver Bradley sauntered through the North Devon defence and supplied the pass for Hawes to calmly lob the goalkeeper and confirm maximum points.
