The veterans of Sidmouth Rugby Club had a great weekend on the Blackmore field and they looked very smart in defeating the visitors from Westcountry Wasps.
While turning on the style in a 51-8 victory, the Over 35s were dressed in a special kit, with the jerseys sponsored by VX3, shorts sponsored by Limegreen Electrical Ltd and socks sponsored by Fords South West Ltd.
Tristan Beavis from VX-3 said “We wanted to produce a classic looking shirt that had a nostalgic nod to the past and feature the old stomping ground of Sidmouth's finest local watering holes.
“Carinas was usually the final destination, so we wanted to pay a little homage and bring back some good old fond memories!
“The shirt design is similar style to the one from our 2004-05 season when we reached the semi-final of the Powergen Vase.
“The green & white hoop socks were part of club’s history from the early 70’s & 80’s and some of the current vets (Rocker) remember playing in them!”
