The Angling Trust Wyvern Region held their presentation night in Exeter and was well supported with representatives of 75 clubs collecting their trophies and certificates.
Congratulation go to Anthony Barton of Castaways SAC for the best fish of the year, a huge gilthead Bream weighing in at 7lbs 13oz, 223% of specimen.
It seems that everyone is catching fish at the moment except me, I travelled to Minehead for a day’s boat fishing high in expectations of some nice Rays and Spurdogs but ended up with only dogfish and two small Rays.
The best fish of the day fell to Dawlish angler Scott Harris with a spotted Ray of 4lbs 2oz. The previous day members of Honiton SAC fished the same boat and had a bit of sport with the Rays with a solitary Cod falling to the rod of Si Trip.
