Club anglers are hitting the beaches in good numbers with Exmouth SAC reporting that their month-long Flounder competition is producing good numbers of fish locally.
Honiton SAC fished their first shore competition of the year, a rover with 30 anglers signing on and fishing areas from East Devon, the South Hams and North Devon in atrocious conditions. They report plenty of fish caught including Whiting, Pout, Garfish, Dogfish, Smoothhounds and Bass.
One coarse fish of note this week is as Perch of 2lbs 12oz to Dean Norey, a personal best on his first trip to Spring Ponds at Rocombe.
