Oasis Community Café, now based at the Dairy Shop is celebrating its fourth birthday this month.
Oasis Cafe is a community cafe that was started in 2020 lockdown to help provide a safe space for those feeling isolated.
They are celebrating its anniversary by continuing to offer a space, with the added extras of light lunch, warm space during the colder winter months, alongside other cafes and community ventures.
Last year Oasis Cafe opened on Christmas Day in the Mustard Seed for anyone who wanted shared company over a cuppa.
This year Oasis Cafe has been offered use of the Dairy Shop to open 11am to 1pm offering a space for those just wanting company with a cuppa on Christmas Day.
There is an usual the Community Christmas lunch at Stowford Community Centre for those individuals wanting a Christmas Lunch .
In addition to Christmas Day Oasis Café provides a warm space every Wednesday 12-2 pm Leigh Browne Room Dissenters Hall.
List of warm spaces some of which have charges most are for donations.
Monday: St Peters Church Community Café, 8.30-11.30 ( donation charge )
St Theresa Hall 12pm to 2pm
Tuesday United Reform Church Salvation army drop in with CAB from 10am to 12pm.
Wednesday: Methodist Church Hall from 10am to 12pm.
Oasis Cafe 12pm to 2pm at the Leigh Browne Room. Library
Thursday: Sidmouth Library
Friday: YMCA ( charge ) and Sidmouth Library
