A creative writing taster session has proved popular with attendees.
The event, held at Kennaway House on Tuesday, November 19, was led by writing tutor and journalist Maria McCarthy.
Maria said: "I really loved teaching the class and meeting such an imaginative and engaged group of writers.
"My classes are open to all, and include exercises designed to help students get in touch with their creativity and develop a wide range of writing skills that will help them in creating novels, stories, memoirs and poetry."
Attendee Marion Hinds said: "It was a hugely enjoyable, high-revving morning, bursting with energy, imagination and creativity, with much merriment along the way.
"I'm already looking forward to the next session."
Fellow attendee Rachael Barden added: "Maria has a warm, enthusiastic approach to teaching which encourages everyone in the group to get in touch with their creativity."
Maria will lead both day and morning workshops in 2025. For more details email maria@mariamccarthy.co.uk
