A CHRISTMAS Lights Switch On and Late Night Shopping event took place last Saturday, around Market Place and the High Street.
Sidmouth’s Annual Christmas Lights Switch On event took place on Saturday (November 16) in the Market Place and Sidmouth Town Council is once again providing the festive display along the streets.
Just before the light switch on itself, the Golden Ticket Draw took place where local Primary School Children won £100 of Gliddon’s toy vouchers generously donated by Gliddon’s.
Sid Valley Radio broadcasted live from the Market Place during the afternoon and Static Charge provided live music from 4pm.
From 5.15pm the Golden Ticket event happened.
The lights were turned on at 5.30pm with Late Night Shopping until 8pm. Other events throughout the day took place at Kennaway House and around town.
Thanks to Maria McCarthy for sending some pictures of the event, to the Sidmouth Herald.
