AS PART of National Kindness Day, the children of Branscombe CE Primary School had an off-timetable day on Wednesday (November 13).
The children talked about kindness on a personal level, a school level and a community level. They decided that they wanted to share kindness in the community of Branscombe.
As a class, the children discussed ways in which we could do this and then designed posters to help make life more pleasant for everyone in the village.
These ranged from looking after our environment and picking up after our dogs, to uplifting ‘Be Kind, Be Happy’ messages.
The children decided that the posters didn’t go far enough, so they wrote thoughtful and positive messages which they decorated and sealed in envelopes.
During the afternoon, the children delivered their kind messages to over 30 homes in Branscombe and they displayed their posters around the village.
During their travels around the village, the children wanted to help tidy up and they eagerly collected two sacks of litter.
The children were a credit to the school, and we hope that the village appreciates and enjoys the work the children have done on this special day.
