SIDMOUTH'S Remembrance Sunday commemorations will include a parade and service at the town's war memorial, Sidmouth Town Council has confirmed.
It took place on Sunday November 10 when there was a parade of serving and former armed forces personnel, alongside representatives of service cadets, emergency services and youth organisations to the War Memorial.
The parade, headed by Sidmouth Town Band stepped off at 10.30am from the top of the High Street, making its way to the War Memorial via the Market Place.
At the War Memorial, an Act of Remembrance took place including the sounding of Last Post and a two-minute silence, and then a wreath-laying ceremony at the war memorial at Sidmouth Parish Church at the top of Fore Street.
Thanks to Sidmouth resident Mark Eburne for sending these pictures of the event to the Herald.
