The Friends of Carnival and Barrel Night in Ottery St Mary have hailed the 2024 event as 'fabulous.'
The annual tradition of carrying flaming barrels through the streets of Ottery took place last night (Tuesday November 5).
The main event started at 7 pm, and a children's event took place at 5pm. Roads around Ottery were closed from 3.30pm to ensure safety.
Thanks to Mark Giloran, who was there and sent this picture roundup to the Herald.
Posting on Facebook this morning (Wednesday November 6), the Friends of Carnival and Tar Barrels Night thanked everyone for coming and supporting the event.
The post said: "A fabulous night for Tar Barrels 2024! Thanks to everyone for supporting our event.
"I have a few items of lost property, so please get in contact if you have lost anything.
"You can still donate using the QR codes or buying merchandise from the shop or online.
"We also appreciate your support at our Carnival events throughout the year. Look out for details of Party On The Green in June."
