Sidmouth Golf Club has raised over £760 for charity at a quiz night.

The event, organised by Nigel Sharp and hosted by Martyn Cross, was supported by more than 80 people, and the total sum raised came to £767.

The funds will go to the Captain's charity, Sidmouth Valley Memory Cafe.

In other club news, Freddie Roberts won the first Luke Global-sponsored Sunday Winter Stableford with 38 points.

The team event was won by Jon Evans, Valdis Baranovs, and Geoff Lory with 82 points.

The first winter Monday Stableford saw David James take the win with 40 points.

David Burgess claimed victory in the Friday Stableford with 37 points.

In the first of four rounds of the Streatham Trophy, Mike Shepherd and Brian Leach led the leaderboard with 42 points.

Moray Bosence and Valdis Baranovs came second, narrowly beating Will Hastie and Alex Duckworth on countback, both with 40 points.
