Sidmouth's Remembrance Sunday commemorations will include a parade and service at the town's war memorial, Sidmouth Town Council has confirmed.
It takes place on Sunday November 10 when there will be a parade of serving and former armed forces personnel, alongside representatives of service cadets, emergency services and youth organisations to the War Memorial.
The parade, headed by Sidmouth Town Band will move off at approximately 10.30 am from the top of the High Street, making its way to the War Memorial via the Market Place.
At the War Memorial, an Act of Remembrance will take place including the sounding of Last Post and a two-minute silence.
Remembrance Sunday is a national opportunity to remember the service and sacrifice of all those that have defended our freedoms and protected our way of life.
The Town and Country will remember the Armed Forces, their families, from Britain and the Commonwealth and the lives of the emergency services who have lost their lives.
Remembrance Sunday has grown in its size each year both nationally and in Sidmouth in particular and this has been reflected by the numbers of people both taking part and observing the parade and Act of Remembrance.

On Monday November 11, a short service and two minutes of silence will be held at the War Memorial on Armistice Day commemorating the signing of the Armistice which brought an end to the First World War and remembers all those who gave their lives in service to their country since 1914.
