The Sidmouth Neighbourhood Police Team will be present at several community events in the run-up to Christmas.
Police officers Tom Driver and Ross Buckler, alongside Police Community Support Officer Sarah Reece, regularly engage with the community and are eager to address any concerns or questions.
On Wednesday, November 6, they will collaborate with Trading Standards for a public advice session from 2pm to 4pm at Sidmouth Library.
The event will cover topics such as financial and romance scams, fraud, and shoplifting prevention.
There will also be information about the Devon and Cornwall Alert system and the Herbert Protocol, a scheme that aids in locating vulnerable missing persons.
PC Tom Driver said: "This event is for anyone who wants to come along with questions or receive some help and advice on a certain subject.
"We look forward to seeing as many people as possible on 6 November at the library."
They will also make an appearance at the Newton Poppleford Bonfire and Fireworks event on Friday, November 8.
On Saturday, November 16, they will be present at the Sidmouth Christmas lights switch-on and late-night shopping event.
PC Driver added: "This is always a busy time of year and we enjoy meeting residents and visitors in Sidmouth and surrounding areas.
"We carry out as many high visibility foot patrols as we can and want the community to feel reassured and safe that we are here for them."
The police team encourages residents to approach them at these events to discuss any issues or concerns they might have.
They aim to ensure the community feels supported and secure during the festive season.
