KENNAWAY house, Sidmouth, is hosting a free Dementia awareness workshop on Tuesday, October 29 from 10.30-11.am or 7pm-8pm.

This Dementia awareness workshop is open to anyone who:
- Wants to increase their overall awareness, knowledge and understanding of dementia.
- Is supporting a friend or family member living with dementia.
- Works in a customer facing environment or volunteering capacity and needs support recognising behaviours and with communication techniques.
This free workshop is being offered as part of the Dementia Friendly Sidmouth Community Project and will be led by Judith Jeeves, an established Alzheimer’s Society Dementia friendly ambassador.
A spokesperson for the event said: “Our aim is to create joyful moments for people living with dementia in Sidmouth and their families.
“We look forward to you joining us for an informal, informative and supportive workshop. We hope to see you all there.”
