The Sidmouth Repair Café is back after its summer break in a new locations
The popular community project, which sees people bring in all sorts of items to be repaired, is now based in St Francis Church Hall.
Volunteer Jenny said after the October session: "Our first time at St Francis Church Hall was very busy and it’s good to know that the word is out about our move there."
The new location required some reconfiguration, with a designated back room set up for sharpening a wide variety of things and a new layout for the café crew.
At the first session at the new location, the team of fixers helped visitors restore various items including vacuum cleaners, a soup maker, and a pond pump.
The sewing section focused on holey sweaters and other fixers dealt with a doll with a permanent wink.
Visitors expressed their gratitude to members of the team.
One said: "So thrilled Mick was able to fix my Dyson.
"Thank you very, very much."
Another visitor commented: "Lovely visit and a very happy Marion is looking after our teddy bear.
"Thank you."
The fixers are there to assist, but visitors are encouraged to be part of the process.
The Sidmouth Repair Café will be back at St Francis Hall on Woolbrook Road on Saturday, October 26, between 10am and 1pm.
People are invited to bring anything and everything to be looked at, although no promises can be made about being able to fix cherished items.
Entry is free, refreshments are available and donations are welcome.
