Drivers are being asked to take an 'alternative route, after heavy rain has caused the road to flood, making it 'impassable.'
DevonAlert on Twitter says that the road is impassable as of around 4pm today (Wednesday October 16) after persistent heavy rain overnight and throughout today.

A number of yellow 'flooding is possible' warnings have been issued by the Environment Agency, which includes Lympstone, Exmouth, Budleigh Salterton, Honiton, Ottery St Mary and Sidmouth areas. Flood alert for Rivers Otter and Sid, and Exmouth area.

The EA said: "Flooding is possible on Wednesday following overnight and early morning rain, with further spells of heavy rain forecast until Wednesday evening.
"Following prolonged rainfall, catchments are wet. Rivers are expected to remain high leading to flooding of low-lying land and roads until Wednesday evening.
"Some areas may see surface water flooding.
"Take care near the areas of concern and monitor your local weather conditions.
"We are constantly monitoring river levels. This message will be updated on Thursday or earlier if the situation changes."
