Sidmouth Town Council is offering grants to voluntary organisations.

The authority has invited applications for its Community Small Grants Scheme.

Last year, the council awarded more than £22,000 to a record number of organisations, benefiting both younger and older residents in the Sid Valley.

All applications for the 2025/2026 financial year will be considered at a council meeting in January.

To be eligible for a grant, applications must meet specific criteria.

These include promoting community wellbeing, enhancing or preserving the town's heritage, contributing to economic viability, improving community cohesiveness, and being inclusive to a wide range of beneficiaries.

Applications must also contribute to the town's cultural life and support organisational or environmental sustainability.

Voluntary organisations interested in applying can download the application form from www.sidmouth.gov.uk.

Alternatively, forms are available from the town clerk at Woolcombe House, Woolcombe Lane, Sidmouth.

The completed applications must be submitted by Monday, December 9.
