"I read with interest the letter from Edward Brown (My mistake 11th October).
"The government under Sir Keir Starmer (whose approval rating has plummeted to a record low since being elected) has had an interesting first 100 days. The mistakes made, the mistruths, the hypocrisy and sheer scale of damage done in such a short period is almost beyond belief. The Labour party came in with such “promise” and the manifesto slogan “Change”. The UK has certainly changed in the last 100 days and in my view certainly not for the better.
"There has been no shorter “Honeymoon” in recent political history.
"I have been looking at local election results over the last month or so. They make thought-provoking reading. The Conservatives have gained 8 seats from Labour, 5 from other parties and held on to 9 seats.
"The Conservative Party still has a huge mountain to climb to regain the trust of the voting public but green shoots are definitely growing strongly at the foot of the mountain.
"The fight-back has begun. Watch this space."
