Beacon Medical Centre is set to mark Self-Care Week.
The event is part of National Self-Care Week, a nationwide initiative in November focused on promoting self-care in communities.
Organised by the Patient Participation Group at Sid Valley Medical Practice and Sid Valley Help, it aims to improve individual and family health and wellbeing.
The event is scheduled for the morning of Saturday, November 2, at The Beacon.
Practitioners will be present to offer advice, and free fact sheets will be available to help manage various conditions, from backache to low mood.
The organisers emphasise that self-care not only benefits short- and long-term health, especially as people are living longer but not always in good health, but also eases the demand for health services.
The event is open to everyone and will run from 9.30am to 12.30pm.
