Film crews have taken over Harbour View Hotel this week for the filming of a new Bollywood Film called Housefull 5.

Filming started on Tuesday (October 2) and continues today until October 10 at the Harbour View Hotel and around Sidmouth, including Manor Road car park.

A night-time shoot will take place on October 9 finishing at 6am. A warning to residents about light and noise pollution has been issued by the film's location manager.

They are also filming in a section of Manor Road car park, which is cordoned off until October 13.

The film is called Sajid Nadiawala's House Full 5, a Bollywood Movie directed by Tarun Mansukhani. 

Thanks to Sidmouth resident Mark Eburne, who sent the Herald these images of the film crews at Harbour View Hotel.

A letter was sent to residents and business owners, warning them of the disruption was published on Facebook on Monday (September 30).

 It says: "A new international feature film entitled House Full 5 is being filmed around Sidmouth and at Harbour View Hotel on the following dates.

"Prep will begin on Monday September 30 and Tuesday October 1 from 8am until 6pm. Filming will then begin on October 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 8, 9 and 10 with a night shoot happening on October 9 until 6am. 

"Our film shoot requires and song and dance shoot to be filmed, playback and music will be used. This only applies to the shoot dates on October 7, 8 and 9. 

"The music will be significantly reduced overnight from 11pm until 6am for the overnight shoot.

"As part of the filming will be using some of the Manor Road car park to park some of the film crew vans. Suspensions of the bays will be in place from October 1 until October 12. The majority of the technical vans will be parked in Harbour View Hotel."

The film-critic company IMDB says the release date for the film is June 2025. See more on the IMDB website.
