Sidmouth Town Council has decided to hold their annual Late Night Christmas Shopping event on the same evening as the Christmas Light Switch on.

This is the first time that the two, normally separate events have been combined to make one joint Christmas event in Sidmouth.

The event takes place on Saturday November 16 from 5.15pm Just before the light switch on itself, the golden ticket draw will take place where children can win £100 of Gliddons toy vouchers, donated by Giddons Toy Store in the town.

Sid Valley Radio will be broadcasting live from the Market Place during the afternoon and Vine and Dandy will be providing live music from 4pm.

Sidmouth Chamber of Commerce said: "We are joining forces to bring you a fantastic combined Late Night Shopping and Christmas Light Switch-on event.

"Get ready for an evening full of festive cheer with extended shopping hours, local entertainment, and the dazzling moment when Sidmouth’s Christmas lights sparkle to life!
