A new community larder is set to open in Newton Poppleford.
The initiative, aimed at reducing food waste, will be available to residents of Newton Poppleford, Harpford, and Venn Ottery.
The larder will open on Wednesday, October 23, at The Meeting Place, St Luke’s Church, from 3pm to 6pm.
It will be open every Wednesday at the same time.
Residents can donate surplus food at designated collection points at the allotments and St Luke’s Church porch.
The larder will offer a guaranteed quantity of food each week.
Teas and coffees will also be available.
