A video promoting The Donkey Sanctuary to younger visitors is proving to be a hit on social media.

The minute-long clip features visitor services assistant Dean Hancock, who is in his sixties, using Gen Z slang as he guides viewers on a virtual tour of the Sidmouth sanctuary.

He invites people to "take a walk around the sanctuary to meet our long-eared fam" and "come rain and shine, the vibes are immaculate".

This Gen Z marketing script trend has gained traction on TikTok and Instagram, allowing organisations to market themselves to younger audiences in a humorous way.

So far, the video has received tens of thousands of views and many positive comments.

One viewer stated that Percy, one of the donkeys, has "main character energy", meaning that the donkey is the leading figure in the video.

Another one commented that he wished he didn't live as far as Manchester, so he could visit.

Dean said: "It's great to be able to promote the sanctuary to the younger generation in this way, but I must admit, I don't know what much of it means!"

Generation Z, or Gen Z, refers to people born between the late '90s and 2010.

Part of the humour in the video comes from the contrast between the slang used and Dean's age.

The video has been shared on TikTok and Instagram and has been well-received by younger audiences, with many commenting on its humour and creativity.

Many businesses, charities and universities across the country have joined the trend, with the videos gaining millions of views.
