If you shop, at Waitrose, you may notice a selection of toppers on the postbox by the front door.
A new one appeared yesterday on Monday, which raises awareness of the work of Sidmouth Hospice at Home.
Knitted by one Sidmouth crafter, who wishes to remain anonymous, Sidmouth Hospice at Home the topper features two of specialist palliative care murses, whose badges feature the words 'Faith' and 'Hope'. There are also intertwined hands, which the crafter says 'represents how we hold the hands of those in our care'.
The knitted characters help raise awareness around the hospice service during Hospice UK’s Hospice-Care-Week, a national campaign which runs from 7-13 October.
A spokesman for Sidmouth Hospice at Home said: The post box toppers at Waitrose & Partners are always a delight, but there's an extra special one in place.
"Whilst we would love to sing the praises of this clever crafter, they wish to remain anonymous - so no spoilers please.
"It's been some time in planning and a great deal of time in production so please show your appreciation and do head to Waitrose to take a look. It's really lovely."
