The Environment Agency's pollution risk warnings are no longer in place in East Devon as from Monday.
The lifeguards have removed the red flags and officers from the council have taken away the no swimming signs on September 23. The beaches affected were Seaton, Sidmouth Town, Ladram Bay, Budleigh, Sandy Bay and Exmouth.
The alerts were issued over the weekend, after a 'sewage pollution incident.' New signs alerting swimmers of this warning have also been seen on Exmouth seafront.
In an EDDC Facebook post on Sunday (September 22), A spokesman for the Environment Agency said: "We have a Pollution Risk Forecast Alert on Sunday (September 22) from the Environment Agency for the Bathing Waters at Seaton, Sidmouth Town, Ladram Bay, Budleigh, Sandy Bay and Exmouth. These alerts don't mean that there is definitely pollution, just that it is possible based on what has happened in the past.
"Additionally there have been a number of overflows from combined sewer outfalls across the district and at the time of posting two are currently discharging at Exmouth. Lifeguards here have been asked to fly the red flags and signs advising against bathing our being erected by our staff."
