A classic car show in Ottery St Mary saw its biggest turnout in 13 years.
On Sunday, August 25, Chanters Carnival Classics attracted more than 500 classic vehicles, including cars, bikes, and stationary engines, despite previous bad weather.
The show, held at Chanters House, has been a staple in the community for 13 years, raising funds for the Tar Barrels through donations.
This year, it managed to raise an impressive £9,500, showcasing the community's love for the event.
The vehicles, all lovingly maintained by their owners, came from all over the country, bringing together a mix of loyal regulars and new entrants.
The show also recognised outstanding vehicles with various trophies.
The Ivor Cobbledick Shield went to E North for a 1955 BSA Rocket Goldstar, while R Jenkins' 1964 Morris Minor Pickup won the Mike Scane Shield.
Other winners included J Wicks with a 1947 Rover Tourer, B Taylor with a 1929 Cord, P Sparks with a 1988 Ford Fiesta XR2, and D Cheeseman with a half-size New Holland, who bagged the MNR Mowers Trophy.
The event, sponsored by Halls Estate Agents and East Devon Law, was more than just a display of vehicles.
Visitors enjoyed a range of activities, including a dog show, a duck race, and a rodeo bull.
The show continues to be a highlight in the Southwest calendar for many, offering a blend of nostalgia, fun, and community spirit.
