A former cabinet minister has visited Sidmouth for the first time.
Lord David Frost, former cabinet minister and chief Brexit negotiator, addressed the Honiton and Sidmouth Conservative Association.
He spoke at Kennaway House, Sidmouth, on the state of the Conservative Party and its future.
Lord Frost was a leading supporter of Boris Johnson and has previously publicly criticised the direction the Tories have taken under Rishi Sunak.
Richard Collins, the association's chairman, said: "We were delighted to host this event, 'Meet Lord David Frost', our first since the general election, last Friday.
"It was extremely well attended by members and guests, and showed interest and enthusiasm by the members in rebuilding the party and contributing their thoughts - and making sure that this current Labour government, only two months in office but already showing its true colours, is properly held to account."
Lord Frost expressed his enjoyment of the visit, stating it was his first to the town and he would be pleased to return to explore the area further.
